Randy Garbrick is an artist and sculptor originally from Forks, Washington, he has lived in Seattle for many years. He grew up exploring the rainforest, mountains and ocean beaches. As a teenager he worked with clay, wood carving and lost wax casting, melting metal in a bonfire in his backyard to form medallions, skulls and other small works. He went on to study art, engineering, physics and computer science at the University of Washington. As he delved deeper, Randy became fascinated with creating metal sculptures, including: a copper dragon, a wire tree rooted in stone, a life-sized sunflower and a giant industrial fish mobile.

 

In 2010, Randy's focus turned to lighted sculptures in natural forms. Blending the facets of light, physics, nature and technology. Randy's work's been featured at the A/NT and other galleries in Seattle. His enormous Electric Flowers sculpture, Sundew, and Flutterby have toured around the PNW at music and arts festivals. Randy's most recent creation Arborus Luminous shows this year in the Teravarna Gallery at the prestigious Seattle Art Festival.
